U14 Provincial Team Program

2026 Program Expansion Note
Basketball New Brunswick is excited to offer an expanded format for the U14 Provincial Team Program for the summer of 2026. This expansion is intended to strengthen Maritime collaboration and provide increased preparation and developmental opportunities for athletes at the entry point of BNB’s performance pathway. By introducing a more robust and connected U14 experience, BNB aims to better support long-term athlete development and ensure athletes are well prepared for future stages of performance programming across the region.

Athlete Selection

Athletes will be selected following the conclusion of Jr EDP. Evaluations will be completed by Basketball New Brunswick Performance Staff with collaboration and input by Jr EDP Regional Leads and identified coaches.

Eligibility Requirement:

• Athletes must be registered and actively participating in Jr EDP(Fall, Spring or Both) to be eligible for selection to the U14 Provincial Team Program.

Summer Schedule:

• Centralized Maritime Showcase Weekend

• Centralized weekend of training and competition alongside identified athletes from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
• Dates: June 13-14
• Location: Halifax, NS

• Bantam Elite Camp

• A week-long high-performance camp for invited athletes from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
• Dates: June 22-26

• Scotia Showcase Tournament

• Athletes will be divided into teams to compete against provincial teams from other Atlantic provinces.
• Dates: July 3-5

• Summerfest Tournament

• Athletes will be divided into teams to compete against club and provincial-level teams from across the Atlantic region.

 Program Fees:

• Event Participation Fee - $225
• • Includes:
    • Participation and cover of registration fee for Maritime Centralized Showcase, Scotia Showcase and Summerfst
    • use of BNB uniforms for competition events (to be returned after event)
    • Sport Science Sessions as part of Centralized Showcase weekend
    • accomodations and travel are the responsibility of the individual family / athletes

  • Fees can be found on Bantam Elite camp webpage, there are options for Overnight camper, Day camper with meals and Day camper without meals.
