NBML REGULAR SEASON #2 TIPS OFF IN SAINT JOHN

📅 Opening Night - Two Games | May 13, 2026

The NBML tipped off its second season with a thrilling night of basketball in Saint John, as fans were treated to two competitive matchups at the G. Elliot Forbes Athletics Centre 

GAME 1: River Bandits 99, Flying Dutchman 90   (📺Full Video/Game Highlights - Boxscore)

This one was a back and fourth battle to start but saw the River Bandits jump out to an early double-digit lead by half-time. After eventually getting down by as many as 17 in the third quarter, the Flying Dutchman battled back to take a one point lead early in the fourth. However, the Bandits turned it back on as ELAM ending time was closing in and eventually put away the Dutchman 99-90.

GAME 2: Lumberjacks 96, Yellow Jackets 79   (📺Full Video/Game Highlights - Boxscore)

In a physical, hard-fought game, this was very much a back and fourth affair for the first 30 minutes of action. Only up 3 at halftime, the Lumberjacks seemed to be in control overall, but the Yellow Jackets would not go away as they kept things to a 1 point game going into the fourth. The Lumberjacks finally pulled away at the start of the fourth quarter and never looked back, coming away with a 96-79 victory.
