Call for 2026 Provincial Team Coaches
Basketball New Brunswick is now accepting coaching applications for our 2026 Provincial Team Season. We are currently seeking Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for our men’s and women’s 15U and 17U teams.
APPLICATION DEADLINE - MIDNIGHT December 3rd
Canada Basketball Requirements for Coaches attending National Championships:
| Years Involved | Requirements |
| 1st Year Involvement at Nationals | Train to Compete In Training |
| 2nd Year Involvement at Nationals | Train to Compete Trained |
| 3+ Years Involvement at Nationals | Train to Compete Certified |
- Must be at least 19 years of age as of the year of application
- Must meet screening and certification requirements
- Must adhere to all BNB policies and Code of Conduct
- Submission of a conflict-of-interest disclosure form (per BNB Conflict of Interest Policy)
- No suspensions, no active investigations, no school-based discipline
- Availability for all required provincial team dates ( Spring League, training, competition)
- At least 50% of team staff must be the same gender as the athletes on that team
Keys to a successful applicant:
- Connected/involved with the current basketball environment in New Brunswick.
- Strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills.
- Updated SafeSport Training
- For Head Coaches - willing to work with BNB to select coaching staff in order to maximize team potential and assist players in developing skills to achieve on and off-court personal goals.
