WEEK 5: FLYING DUTCHMAN SECURES FIRST PLACE; RIVER BANDITS ARE ROLLING WITH TWO IN A ROW
📅 Week 5 - Three Games | June 16th, 2025
The Currie Center was home court once again for the three games during week 5 of the NBML. Another big game from the River Bandits, a first-place-clinching win for the Flying Dutchman, and a solid performance all around from the HighToppers.

GAME 1: River Bandits 103, Lumberjacks 83
The River Bandits started out hot in this one and just never looked back after pouring in 38 first quarter points. While the Lumberjacks showed flashes throughout the rest of the game, it just wasn’t enough to overcome the early deficit.

GAME 2: Flying Dutchman 88, Spartans 65
After a tough loss last week, the Flying Dutchman got back in the win column this week in convincing fashion. While close most of the way, a big fourth quarter from the Dutchman put this one out of reach from the Spartans. A balanced scoring attack of 6 players scoring double figures was key for the Flying Dutchman in securing first place for the regular season and a bye to the NBML playoff weekend!

GAME 3: HighToppers 100, RoadRunners 88
The late game outing saw the HighToppers pull away late in the second half to grab the win over the RoadRunners. In a battle for the #2 seed and second bye to the final weekend, the competitive juices were definitely flowing in this one. With 3 players scoring 20+ points, the HighToppers have punched their ticket to the NBML playoff weekend!
